We are very happy to present Senegal’s most famous hip-hop star and political activist Sister Fa and her band in concert. In her music she mixes African sounds, reggae, soul and 80’s old school hip-hop to powerful, groovy and stirring tunes. Her first solo album was released in Senegal in 2005; in the same year she also won the prize for Best Newcomer of the Year at the Senegalese Hip-Hop Awards. In 2011, Sister Fa was awarded with the Freedom to Create award in Cape Town. In the same year, the movie of which she was subject, “Sarabah”, won the Documentary Award at the Movies That Matter Festival in Den Haag.
We wish you a great evening!
